Tagger Rooms
Tag and analyse games collaboratively with multiple analysts in real time.
Overview
Tagger Rooms allow multiple users to share a live game session across different devices. All participants see the same game data, events and timer state in real time — making it ideal for team environments where several analysts are tagging simultaneously or a coach is monitoring a live dashboard while the tagging is happening elsewhere.
A typical setup might involve three or four analysts tagging different aspects of the same game, alongside an additional user monitoring the live Dashboard for instant insights.
All users must have their own individual Teamoppy account. Rooms are linked to user accounts and every participant — including read-only viewers — must be signed in to join.

Users on plans other than Analyst Elite can still participate fully as room members — they simply cannot create or administer rooms.
Creating a Room
Only users with an Analyst Elite subscription can create a room.
- Navigate to the Room tab in Tagger.
- Click Room → Create.
- Enter a Room Name and a Room Passcode, then click Save.
The room is now active and you are automatically assigned as the Leader (room owner).
Only one room can exist per user at a time. Creating a new room will remove any previously created room associated with your account.
Inviting Members
The room Leader manages membership from the Room Members panel.
- Enter a member's email address in the Add Members field.
- Click the + button (or press Enter) to send the invite.
- The invited user will see the room appear in their Room Invites list.
A room can have a maximum of 4 members at any one time. The room Leader counts as one of those members.
Previously used email addresses are cached in the input field for quick reuse. You can remove a cached address by clicking the delete icon next to it in the dropdown.
To remove a member, click the trash icon beside their entry in the Room Members table. The member will lose access to the room immediately.
Joining a Room
Members can join a room after they have been invited.
Room Invite
If the room Leader has added your email address, the room will appear in your Room Invites list. Click Refresh to check for new invites, then click the room card and Join to enter.
Passcode
- Click on the Room invite.
- Enter the Room Passcode.
- Click Join.
Room Controls and Data Sync
Once inside a room, each member can independently control how they participate in the shared session using two toggles in the Room Details panel.
Listen for Game Updates
When enabled, the member's local game data — events, game details, team formations and timer state — is automatically updated whenever another member pushes changes to the room. This is the recommended setting for anyone monitoring the Dashboard live.
Send Game Updates
When enabled, any events or changes the member tags locally are automatically broadcast to all other room members. Analysts who are actively tagging should have this enabled.
Recommended setup for live tagging: All tagging analysts should have both Send Game Updates and Listen for Game Updates enabled. A Dashboard-only viewer should enable Listen for Game Updates only and disable Send Game Updates.
Auto Pause
When tagging live video, it is recommended to disable the Auto Pause feature. The Auto Pause toggle is available in the Room Details panel.
Syncing the Room
At any time, a member can manually trigger a full data sync using the Sync Room button in the Room Details panel. This downloads the latest game state from the room, overwriting the member's local copy — useful when rejoining mid-session or after a period of disconnection.
Testing the Connection
Use the Test Connection button to send a timestamped ping to all other room members. Each member will receive a notification showing who sent the test and when. This is useful for confirming that all participants are live and connected before a match.
Handling Disconnections
If a member loses their connection to the room channel, the Re-join button will appear in place of the Sync Room and Test Connection buttons. Clicking Re-join reconnects the member to the room and re-syncs the game data.
The room's connection status is shown by the Subscribed chip in the Room Details panel header. If the chip is not visible, the member is not currently receiving live updates.
Resetting the Room
The room Leader can reset the shared session at any time via Room → Reset. This clears all room data — game details, events, timer state and period data — for all participants.
This action cannot be undone. All tagged events and game data will be permanently removed from the room for every member.
When the Leader resets the room, all other members receive a prompt asking whether they want to reset their local game data to stay in sync. Members can choose to accept or dismiss the request.
Room Reset vs Game Clear: Using Game → Clear only clears the game on your own device — it does not affect any other room member. Use Room → Reset to clear the game data for the entire room.
Leaving or Deleting a Room
- Leave Room — Any member (including the Leader) can leave a room at any time via Room → Leave. The room continues to exist for remaining members.
- Delete Room — Only the Leader can delete a room via Room → Delete. This permanently removes the room and all associated data for all members. Only users with an Analyst Elite subscription can delete rooms.
