Game Reports
Present your post-game analysis with interactive Reports
Introduction
Game Reports are an ideal way to present post-game Analysis to your team management and/or players. Reports are built in a similar way to Dashboards but include additional components such as a Text Editor, External Links, Embedded Images and Videos - all designed to enable you to combine the best of textual description, along with data, visualisations and videos. These are not PDF reports but interactive reports which can be shared along with your game using existing methods such as the Google Drive shared links or shared via the Cloud Workspace.
Layout
The layout of a report is comprised of rows, containers and components.
Rows
When you first create a report the top-level item in the report is a row. You can add containers to rows.
Containers
Containers allow you to space out the components in the report. Containers are added to rows. A container span ranges from 1 to 12. 12 spans the entire row. If a container is added with a span of 12 then the next container will start below that container. if you add 2 containers each with a span of 6 then they will be displayed side by side.
Reports may look differently on larger devices compared to mobile devices so we provide the facitlity in the container definition to set different container spans for mobile.
Components
Components are added to containers. You can add one or more components to a container. If a component is added to a container which already has a component then the new component will get added underneath the existing one.
Components are things like Text Editors, Embedded Images, Embedded Videos, External Links, along with other common components that you would see in the Dashboard such as Charts, Position Maps, Info Cards, Comparison Tables, Metric Highlights, Metric Progressions and more.
Text Editor
Use the text editor to add text detail to your report. Use the options to style and layout your text.
External Links
External links are useful if you want to provide additional context to the reader and allow them to navigate to external sources.
Embedded Images
Embedded images can be used to embed things like logos, PDFs or other visuals on to the report.
Embedded Videos
Embedded videos are used to embed videos using a link. Links can be any publicly accessible link such as from YouTube, Google Drive embed links, OneDrive embed links and more.
This is ideal if you have created a custom playlist or a clip with telestration in the Video Studio and would like to include it into the report.
Follow the instructions here to get embedded links for objects in Google Drive and OneDrive.
Drag and Drop
Components can be dragged and dropped across the Report providing an easy way to re-configure your reports.
Report Templates
You can create Report Templates in the Configuration. Templates are really useful if you report on similar aspects of games on a regular basis.
Game reports can be created from scratch or from a Template in the Configuration.
