Introduction
Tagger Desktop includes a suite of video utilities designed to support the full lifecycle of match footage — from live capture on the day, through to post-session processing and clip extraction. These tools are available exclusively in the desktop application and complement the core tagging workflow by giving you direct control over your video files without needing third-party software.
Available Tools
Live Video Capture
Stream directly from a connected camera and serve the footage over a local HLS network in real time. Enables simultaneous recording and tagging during a match, and supports multi-device viewing via Tagger Rooms.
HLS to MP4 Converter
Convert a recorded HLS stream — or any remote .m3u8 playlist — into a single, portable MP4 file. Use this after a live capture session to produce an archive-ready video that can be imported into Tagger or shared externally.
Trim & Copy
Extract one or more segments from a video file and export them as a single merged output. Ideal for isolating individual periods, removing dead time, or preparing highlight clips for review or distribution.
